Please be aware of a scam involving fake Facebook accounts purporting to be the account of the Representative Director and CEO of The Norinchukin Bank

It has come to our attention that suspicious messages are being sent from fake Facebook accounts purporting to be the account of the Representative Director and CEO of The Norinchukin Bank.

Friend requests have been sent out from the fake Facebook accounts. If the recipient accepts the friend request, then they receive suspicious messages*, the intention of which appears to be to commit fraud.

* Recipients are encouraged to click on a link to an e-mail address that superficially resembles a Norinchukin Bank e-mail address, in relation to the distribution of a certain individual's assets.

Neither The Norinchukin Bank nor its Representative Director and CEO has sent any such message, and we urge all customers to be cautious of such messages.
